# U Mobile Home WiFi RM68 Sign-Up: The Ultimate Plug-and-Play 5G Guide

If you are renting an apartment, living in a temporary space, or simply dread the hassle of drilling walls for fiber installation, wireless 5G home fiber alternatives are a lifesaver. Among the options on the Malaysian market, **U Mobile’s U Home 5G** plan stands out as one of the most budget-friendly, starting at just **RM68/month**.

With uncapped speeds, instant plug-and-play setup, and an optional free 5G router, here is everything you need to know to sign up and get connected.

## 1. What Do You Get for RM68/Month?

The standard price for U Home 5G is RM78/month, but U Mobile’s ongoing promotional campaign permanently slashes the bill to **RM68/month** for as long as you keep the plan active.

* **1,000GB (1TB) Uncapped Speeds:** Unlike standard mobile hotspots with heavy speed throttles, U Home 5G offers uncapped, fiber-like 5G and 4G speeds. This means speeds of 100Mbps to over 300Mbps depending on your area’s 5G signal.
* **Plug-and-Play Convenience:** There is no need to wait for a technician or schedule a drilling appointment. Once you get the SIM card, you just pop it into a compatible router and plug it into a wall outlet.
* **Flexible Hotspot Sharing:** You can share the connection with over 100 devices simultaneously (smartphones, TVs, laptops, gaming consoles) without any hotspot quota caps.

> **Understanding the FUP:** The plan is marketed as “unlimited,” but carries a very generous **Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 1,000GB (1TB) per month**. If you happen to exceed 1TB, your speeds will be throttled to 512kbps. However, you can add an extra 1,000GB of high-speed data for a flat RM30 top-up via the MyUMobile App.

## 2. SIM-Only vs. 5G Router Bundle

During the sign-up process, you have to make a choice between two registration structures:

### Option A: SIM-Only (No Contract)

* **Price:** RM68/month.
* **Commitment:** **No contract**. You can cancel at any time with no penalties.
* **Best For:** Those who already own a 5G-enabled wireless router or want the flexibility to cancel whenever they move.

### Option B: SIM + Free Game-Grade 5G Router

* **Price:** RM68/month.
* **Commitment:** **24-month contract**.
* **Best For:** Users who need a high-end router. You get a free “Game-Grade” Wi-Fi 6 5G Router (worth RM799 retail value) which features wider coverage, ultra-low latency, and stable multi-device handling.

## 3. How to Register and Set Up Your U Home 5G

Signing up for U Home 5G is entirely digital. Follow these steps to register and activate your home Wi-Fi:

1. **Verify Your 5G Coverage:** Required First Step.
Go to the U Mobile coverage map online and enter your home address. Wireless broadband relies entirely on local tower strength—ensure your address is well within the 5G zone for the best speeds.

2. **Choose SIM-Only or Router Bundle:** Select Plan Structure.
Pick the “SIM-Only” if you want zero lock-in, or opt for the “SIM + 5G Router” bundle if you want the free Wi-Fi 6 equipment on a 2-year contract.

3. **Submit Your Registration:** Have ID Ready.
Complete the registration form with your MyKad (Malaysians) or Passport (Foreigners, which requires a standard refundable RM500 deposit).

4. **Receive and Plug-and-Play:** Delivered in 3-5 days.
Once your order is processed, your package will arrive at your doorstep. Pop the 5G SIM card into the router, plug the router into any power outlet near a window (for optimal signal), and you are instantly online!
